Shipping for the EU activated but buyer from Austria can't bid
Summary: brkur4 reports that he auctioned off something on eBay and enabled shipping within the EU. However, a prospective buyer from Austria cannot place a bid, even though he has saved an address in Vienna. The seller finds that despite the configured EU shipping option, an error message appears excluding shipping to Austria. He is looking for a solution without having to relist the auction.
Hello,
I currently want to auction something on ebay.
In addition to shipping in Germany, I have also activated shipping in the EU:
I already have a bidder from the Netherlands.
Now an interested party has messaged me saying that he can’t bid.
He’s from Austria.
As far as I know, that’s in the EU too ;)
If he wants to bid, he gets this message:
His profile also says shipping to the European Union, and he has also entered an address from Vienna in his profile.
Still, it says in red there that shipping to Austria is not available.
Under excluded, Europe is also oddly listed, even though it should actually be allowed.
I’d rather not end the auction now and list it again.
I’m actually pretty sure I did everything right.
Can anyone say where this problem comes from?

OP2 weeks agoI’ve already solved the problem myself...
In my profile, all countries were possible for shipping, only Austria was excluded.
I’ve now activated it and it works...
