Payment is still outstanding, buyer maybe unavailable?
Hello,
a buyer purchased another item after a purchase process that was completed as planned.
Now the payment remains outstanding and there is no response when I ask about it.
Before I cancel due to non-payment, I have a question for an eBay employee:
Would it be possible to tell me whether there was any activity by the member after 01/09/26?
(It is currently the only open buyer payment)

·1 month agoCould it be that the buyer is expecting a consolidated invoice with adjusted shipping costs, so they don’t have to pay them twice? On the PC, you can do this under Orders, where the buyer’s orders are shown grouped together, and you can go to send payment information - a new window opens, and there you can adjust the shipping costs. Also tick the box to send a copy of the invoice "to me".
Maybe that’s the reason the buyer hasn’t paid yet.

the first purchase was indeed close in time to the second, but it was fully completed (purchase->payment->shipping->delivered). Therefore no summary option, the second purchase stands on its own.

·1 month agoHello @m_i_a_n no eBay employee is allowed to give you any information about buyer behavior either. Maybe you can see in the feedback profile whether any purchases took place after the second one with you, if ratings were submitted or left.
So the first item was bought, paid for, and you shipped it?

OP1 month agoYes, the first purchase process went as planned.
Nothing is apparent from the rating profile, which is why I'm asking here.
I already thought about sending a written follow-up inquiry, I still have the address from the first purchase. However, I'm wondering whether that would violate the rules here ...

·1 month agoNo, I don't think so @m_i_a_n since you already had the contact details, you can also contact the buyer that way. Maybe you can still find a phone number or have it shown to you in the eBay account?
You can still mark the item as unpaid later if you want and if it's within the deadline.

·1 month agoIn the order details, you can see both the encrypted email address and, under the delivery address, the phone number as well.

OP1 month agoThanks, I found the 'Purchase details' page, but it doesn't include any information for delivery address and phone number because it hasn't been paid for yet.
BUT: The completed first purchase shows me the phone number. So I'll give it a try...

·1 month agoYeah sure, delivery address etc. is only shown after the buyer has completed checkout.

·1 month agoAny attempts to contact outside of eBay are definitely not welcome as long as the purchase hasn’t been completed! What’s stopping you from either waiting or canceling the purchase due to non-payment?
