Incorrect DHL shipping label intl. via eBay
Summary: hoffigr reports problems with DHL shipping labels purchased via eBay, because the buyer’s phone number and email address were not transferred correctly. I sold something to Estonia yesterday and bought and printed the shipping label via eBay.
After printing, I saw that the phone number (and the email) was not displayed and printed correctly. The buyer had entered it correctly.
So I added the number by hand.
Today at the post office, the employee there saw it and said that it doesn't work that way. The number and email must be stored in the label and printed out; only then are the data also in the DHL system.
Otherwise it will go wrong, maybe the foreign postal service (or service partner) won't accept it and send it back at your expense, or the recipient can't be contacted because some countries use parcel lockers or similar.
I cancelled the DHL label bought through eBay this morning and hopefully will get my money back. I created and bought the new shipping label directly from DHL, and here I was also able to enter the correct phone number and the alias email address. By the way, you can only find that on packlink.
Please correct these transmission errors and maybe the alias email address could also be shown in the buyer's contact details. Not everyone knows where to look for it.

Hello @hoffigr and thanks for reporting this! I'm sorry to see that on this shipping label the submitted phone number and email address were incorrect. I brought this up with our internal shipping department earlier this month. Has this issue occurred again for you when transferring it in the meantime?

OP2 months agoI can’t say, yesterday I had a package going to Sweden and just bought it externally from DHL and entered the number here.
At least I know where I can find the email address, a lot of people will already fail at that.

OP2 months agoSo another attempt to Belgium today, the problem still exists.
I had to cancel the ticket here and buy directly via DHL.
In addition, it is currently very difficult to get to Packlink's site. Sign up again, agree, error, sign up again, agree, unreachable, error, sign up again, etc.
At some point it worked, but only there can I find the alias email address. Ebay could also store that in the normal contact details, just an idea.
Here again the problem, email address and phone number are not being transferred. But they are urgently needed for international shipping.
