Combined shipping with purchases made at different times
Summary: lidor3073 describes a situation where a buyer wants to bid on two items at different times to save on shipping costs. lidor3073 is asking for legal advice on how to comply with eBay's time requirements, since the processing time is limited to one business day, while the buyer has up to four days to make payment. The issue is making sure both sides stay within eBay's rules without violating the specified timeframes.
Good morning,
I’ve got a buyer situation like this now: He won something from me yesterday and would like to try bidding on another item next Sunday as well, so I can pack both together. Sure, he wants to save on shipping costs, which is fine by me too. But how do I handle this now with eBay’s timing rules? I have a 1 business day handling time and the buyer has up to 4 days to pay — how do I get out of this safely legally, and ultimately the buyer too? From yesterday to Sunday is 5 days — that’s going to be a problem.
I explicitly ask that unqualified comments be left out. I know perfectly well how to combine shipping in the usual case and create adjusted invoices.
To be perfectly clear once again: this is about the time gap — how it works so that both I and the buyer are on the safe side with eBay.
Sorry, but my brain still isn’t fully functioning after the heat and the DHL stuff.
Thanks everyone.

OP1 month agoIs @miriam@ebay present today or someone else? I’d be very happy to get an official response from eBay so I can set everything up accordingly. Thanks!
