Delivery date
Good evening
I'm slowly reaching my breaking point here....This topic has been discussed for months and nothing has happened to date.
My item can/must be shipped by 30.07. and then this comes from ebay: Date shown to buyer for delivery approx.: 29 Jul 2026 - 31 Jul 2026 So delivery before shipping or within a day? Especially since it's now well known that the postal service or DHL needs 3-5 business days.

was it only paid yesterday, or directly on 27/07?
if the latter, it should actually be shipped by today at the latest (29/07), since 2 business days processing time are stored

OP2 weeks agoNo, for me it’s 3 days processing time and I usually ship a day after payment. The buyer paid on the 27th and I shipped today. So everything is within the expected timeframe, only the displayed delivery date is completely wrong.

for the specified delivery dates, Ebay always assumes that the stored processing time lasts between 0 and X (processing time entered by the seller) days.
So Ebay calculates from 0 days plus shipping transit time to X days plus shipping transit time.
And these dates are then shown to the buyer. Whether that makes sense or is nonsense, opinions differ.
For me (2 days processing time) the following is displayed;
The first date would of course only be realistic if I shipped tomorrow morning and DHL only needed 1 business day. -> absolutely unrealistic.
Even the latest date, if I were to ship only on 31/07, is an insult to the customer, since delivery by 03/08 is hardly realistic.
This way, of course, you want to appear as fast as possible on Ebay compared to the competition.

·2 weeks agoEbay still assumes that sellers ship immediately after payment, no matter what processing time is stated.
But even there, the supposed delivery dates are usually not realistic.
