OPSep 5, 2026 at 9:58 PMHello Goldeifel and thank you for the answer
The problem is that I can't choose the 100 % correct shipping company (gls Denmark) so instead I choose gls Germany.
Because of that the tracking don't update on ebay automatically (it's says delivered when u click the tracking link)
So I guess this will never really update to delivered by it self.
Any way to get in touch with ebay here? Cant even request a call because I don't have a German number...

·3 days agoGood morning ,
No one has any influence over the update of the tracking history.
There are too many possible sources of error
As I understood it, tracking info (scan) is transmitted from the shipping provider to eBay. The transmission is delayed, so not in real time.
If the shipping label was not bought through eBay, then you have to enter the tracking number manually. An unnoticed typing error also causes a standstill.
(That’s happened to me too; only after clicking the tracking number and being redirected to the DHL app was the info shown that the tracking number was incorrect / could not be assigned.)
After correcting the number on eBay, the current status was then displayed, or rather the complete history.
System errors both on eBay and with the shipping provider can also be the cause. Most of it runs automatically; there is no human review.
For a correction to be made, you have to request help / review by an employee.
In general, you’re led to believe that everything works perfectly online; you rely on that and forget that there are people “behind” all these processes, and mistakes/errors can happen that trigger far-reaching consequences.
The biggest mistake you make yourself is assuming that, of course, everything will be displayed 100% flawlessly and promptly.
How did that go again?: a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
