Overbid items - being able to hide unnecessary "similar items"
Whenever you've been outbid somewhere, there are then a ton of supposedly similar offers listed below.
Unfortunately, these usually bear hardly any relation to the item you originally bid on and only take up unnecessary space on the page, and they make scrolling extremely annoying because it takes forever to get to the end of the list.
I'm in favor of being able to hide this additional info, which isn't helpful to me, because if I bid on a horror movie, then spaghetti westerns really are not similar in the slightest and aren't helpful at all!
If I didn't get something, I'm perfectly capable of starting a new search on my own with the criteria I want.
Often, even when the items are actually randomly "the same" or "similar", the prices are way out of line.
If I'm supposed to pay three or four times as much for a USED item as what you pay for NEW items in other online shops, then that's absolutely ZERO use!

Hello @johhub5eiculu and thanks for your detailed feedback! We understand that the suggestions shown after an outbid bid are currently not helpful for you and are even felt to be rather annoying. Our actual goal is to support users with suitable alternatives when an auction hasn’t been won - but we can see that in your case this isn’t having the desired effect.
Your note that the suggested items often have little to do with the original bid or are not attractive in terms of price is very valuable. We also welcome the idea of being able to hide such suggestions completely, and we will pass your feedback on to the responsible teams so that the relevance and usefulness of the recommendations can be improved and an option to hide them can be considered.
Thanks for taking the time to show us so concretely how we can improve the eBay experience 🙂.
Kind regards
Miriam
