Hello @marting278! Thanks for this post too. As @dmary56 already wrote, it can happen both as a buyer and as a seller that support from eBay is needed - so there is no need for an adjustment here for now, and the word "orders" is, I think, the most suitable for all scenarios - or do you have a different suggestion, @dmary56? 🙂

If it’s meant to be possible to request help for sales here too, sure - I’d definitely use that myself as well.
But I found it confusing that my still ongoing auction was also shown under the so-called orders. At least before the buyer is confirmed, I wouldn’t call it an order, and generally not in the case of auctions either. And I agree with @dmary56 that it sounds strange in the case of private sellers in general.
If you’re looking for a term that covers both purchases and sales, private and business sellers, auctions and fixed-price offers, then you probably have to use something a bit more abstract. I’m not a fan of Denglisch, but what about "transactions"? Even my bank uses the term.

That's exactly how it's intended to work, our system offers the appropriate options depending on the item and the situation. But I understand that it was confusing for you that ongoing auctions were also shown to you, @marting278.
The term "transactions" on eBay usually refers to payment processing, just like at your bank. But I'll check who I can bring your feedback to internally. Thanks for the constructive exchange here!

Just to reinforce my suggestion: (https://www.ebay.de/help/buying/leaving-feedback-sellers/bewertungen-fr-verkufer-abgeben?id=4007) "You can also write a comment about your buying experience, add images, and rate certain aspects of the transaction, including the timely delivery of the item, the accuracy of the item description, the shipping costs, and the seller's communication." - the word "transaction" is used several times here and never just for the payment process.

Hello @marting278! I wanted to get back to you about this again. The thing is, changing the terminology is relatively difficult to get approved, since the adjustment would then have to be made on all eBay country sites.
We still believe that "orders" means both - buyer and seller. We just can't please everyone, as long as the homepage can't be tailored to the individual member. The term "orders" is often used that way at eBay, while "transactions" often refers to sellers. But as you point out, the communication hasn't always been consistent everywhere so far.
I'm still trying to get your suggestion through, but I don't want to get your hopes up too much. That's why I'm giving you this brief feedback, which may help you better understand the background.

But your orders can mean both:
Orders that you placed as a buyer
Orders that buyers placed with you...
Although the word orders has always seemed out of place to me
when it comes to private sellers...
