Notification email sales not printable
I use Thunderbird to print out my eBay messages when I’ve sold something. This email right here:
Good news - Your item has been sold!
For years now I’ve been annoyed that eBay packs this simple message to sellers, who already know what they’re doing anyway, together in such a space-wasting way. First there’s a lot of blah blah about shipping and other stuff; even the headline above, I think, is completely unnecessary.
I need a short, punchy email with picture, price, buyer, and shipping address.
All formatted so I can print it on ONE SHEET OF A4.
Done, end of story, concise.
eBay can’t manage that.
And for about 1 week now something is wrong again, the email can’t be printed at all, because texts are overlapping. Even scaling to 60% or similar doesn’t work.
It’s just ridiculous!!!!
Frustration off again...
Does anyone have a tip on whether and how I can change this in the settings? I’d most like to put together the notification email myself and hide everything I don’t need and already know anyway after decades. I simply need basic information and a picture that’s as large as possible, and no frills.

Hello @schladitz and thanks for your feedback! Can you now print the emails with the order confirmations again without any problems? Alternatively, you could also print the purchase details using the button, which would also include all the necessary information.
For commercial sellers, there is the option to create the order confirmations with only the necessary information, and I’ll gladly pass along your request for such a customizable option for private sellers as well. I can’t say whether or when anything will change in that regard.
It’s great that you took the time to share your thoughts with us!
Best regards
Miriam

·2 years agoSomething like that already existed before, it was really easy, the address and email were even listed there, everything on one page.
But like all good things on eBay, that was a long, long time ago.

OP2 years agoI don't currently know how I can produce receipts for my filing. Digital only doesn't work.
