Review view change from "most relevant" to "newest"
Hello @steffi@ebay
May I expand on the topic?
I’m not sure whether it’s the settings in Khoros or eBay that affect it.
I’ve noticed more than once now that when I click on "received as seller" in the ratings, no ratings or only a few are displayed.
And those are exactly the ones I’m interested in when I’m interested in an item.
Only switching from "most relevant" to "newest" then brings all seller ratings to light.
Many people don’t even know that. It doesn’t make sense to me either.
If "most relevant" is already the default, then all reviews received as a seller should also appear here.

Now that it has been clarified that it's not an error, the topic is getting its own thread in the right place! @kenn-i-di-1

I see it exactly the same way as @*sweet-melody* .
"Why didn't they just leave it as it was in the old version.
Back then you could see all the ratings right away. now it's being overcomplicated again and
burdened with more clicks. Makes no sense to me. Has eBay already been
pointed out about this once?"
Doesn't anyone at Ebay actually notice what kind of crap has been programmed together???
I want one CLICK again to see all the ratings!!!
And I don't care what Ebay considers "relevant" and I don't think anyone else does either.
With "Most relevant ratings" it seems that for Ebay only the length of the text matters.
The more, the better!
steffi@ebay
then it will go directly to the responsible place. Thanks 🌷

·1 year agoHello @steffi@ebay !
I’ve used this option now.
The input field for *Other* could be a bit
larger, because sometimes you need more space
to describe the issue.
Best regards
steffi@ebay
Great 😍 - many thanks @*sweet-melody* . You’d like to have more than 1000 characters to give your feedback, right?

·1 year agoHello @steffi@ebay !
Not always, some things can also be described with just a few words.
The input field could be a bit bigger. 🤔
Thanks for your reply! 😊
Kind regards!
steffi@ebay
I understand @*sweet-melody*, the input field has a corner so you can make it bigger, just like here in the Community too - maybe that already helps you

Thanks for your reply! I will, if needed, try that
next time, good idea! 👍

"Share your opinion with us about the rating system"
I've already done that several times.
But I have my doubts whether it actually reaches the responsible department.
Otherwise someone would have already noticed that this change doesn't make eBay easier, but significantly MORE COMPLICATED. (more and more clicking)
What IMPROVEMENT do you yourself see in the current setting.
What added value do the "most relevant reviews" have for YOU
Personally, I'm interested in the "Newest" when I want to assess a seller.
But I'm always open to being lectured.
steffi@ebay
Hello @primanovo, you won't get any lectures from me, because I also always click on "Newest" directly - I want to know how the seller has behaved recently 🙈. I just accept changes like that though - maybe it's my personality - no idea. Personally, I think it's better when I can choose for myself and the system then also adopts this setting from me. I'm now passing it on to the relevant colleagues further 🤞

Hello @kenn-i-di-1 !
I've noticed that too. Why didn't they just leave it the way it was in the old version.
There you could see all the feedback right away. now it's being made complicated again and burdened with
more clicks. Makes no sense to me. Has eBay already
pointed this out here once?
Best regards
steffi@ebay
Hello @*sweet-melody* , informed about what?

On this change:
Quote @kenn-i-di-1
*Only after switching from "most relevant" to "newest" do all seller ratings become visible.
Many people don’t even know that. It doesn’t make any sense to me either.*
Best regards
steffi@ebay
ahh I see @*sweet-melody* - eBay always tries to be as transparent as possible, but of course can't do that for all changes. I'd be happy to pass your feedback on to the colleagues, though!
steffi@ebay
Hello @kenn-i-di-1, you mean directly on the eBay site in the member profile, right?
kenn-i-di-1
OP1 year agoMainly here in the community.
If, for example, I look at this topic starter
@blacklight-hannover
at the reviews he received as a seller, I see 2; if I switch to "newest," I see all of them.
steffi@ebay
Hello @kenn-i-di-1, yes exactly, but it behaves the same way when you access the member profile directly on eBay. I found out that it was an intentional change. Can I assume that it would be more user-friendly if you could choose for yourself whether "Most relevant" or "Newest" is displayed, and that this setting would also remain for future visits?

I can't resist replying to that.... YES, definitely @steffi@ebay 😘 let each user set for themselves whether they want to see the most relevant or the newest, that would be great and a huge help.
steffi@ebay
grumble grumble: annoying that the title doesn’t change for the posts too! grumble grumble
Thanks for your feedback @bootyooty 🌷

·1 year ago*grumbling along... is probably for security reasons 😂 also for you, @steffi@ebay
I’ll just try whether Khoros lets my “cheat” pass; then at least the title line will be different for the next reply to mine.
steffi@ebay
Hello @bootyooty - I don't think that worked 😪
kenn-i-di-1
OP1 year agoThanks for separating it. I had assumed that this was a deliberate decision. Although I, and I think others too, can make absolutely nothing of it. I keep wondering and wondering what is supposed to be achieved with it, what benefit it is supposed to have/could have for users or eBay.
Maybe you can come up with an answer there 🤔.
I’m someone who tries to weigh up the pros and cons of topics. I can’t think of any pros at all here, not even if I put myself in eBay’s shoes.
Just with the term "most relevant" in connection with BW, I really can’t make any sense of it at all. Relevant for what or whom?
How is the algorithm supposed to know what’s relevant for me?
The best solution would be to undo everything.
If that isn’t planned, then change it so that
- a one-time default setting is possible
- all BW are always displayed and not a large part withheld.
Hold on, now I’ve got an idea......
On the web and with your competitors, you can filter reviews. But ratings are not the same as reviews; that should be obvious.....
steffi@ebay
Hello @kenn-i-di-1, unfortunately I can't tell you what is behind this change. Chances are that member behavior also plays a role here. Let me submit the suggestion once and then we'll see what feedback comes back. Okay?

·1 year agoHey... you were still able to change it here @steffi@ebay 😘 have a nice weekend.
kenn-i-di-1
OP1 year agoOf course I agree......I don't really have any other choice. 😃
The new version is not barrier-free...😎.
I'm late, but have a relaxing weekend anyway.
steffi@ebay
if only it were the weekend again already 😍 - the request has already been sent to the colleagues! 🤞@kenn-i-di-1
