Hello everyone and the whole @community-team@ebay . I received a negative rating yesterday and it happened without any prior contact with me or any other evidence and this can’t go on like this, because things like that are not only annoying or unfair, but can also have extreme effects, especially for us commercial sellers. We are all only human and mistakes can happen, but sometimes they are not mistakes at all that trigger such ratings. I am not just of the opinion, I am advocating that before a negative rating is submitted, contact with the seller absolutely MUST be made first, before a negative rating can even be sent. Nothing can be so serious that it can’t first be resolved in another, fair way, and especially give the seller the chance to correct a mistake, damage, etc. You also go to a store and exchange a defective or damaged item and don’t sue the shop right away. This should also be in eBay’s interest, and if something like this were introduced, I’d wager my "all I own" that such unfair ratings would never happen again, because before they even make the effort to explain themselves to the seller, which is sometimes not even true, why else do such buyers not send proof photos or similar, or keep the item and don’t send it back? What do you think about this, and please don’t discuss "coercion" (it would just be one procedure more, nothing else) but things can’t and mustn’t go on like this😎 Kind regardsMarc
