The watchlist no longer works properly
Hey folks. Since today I can no longer save items to my lists. Ebay simply deleted the button for it. There’s only the standard watch list left. The question is, why does ebay keep shooting itself in the foot? First, I save things there that interest me and compare prices that way. Second, I can use it to get a sense of what I should charge for my own things. In any case, you’re making less money that way. What’s wrong here? Why does something that has proven itself keep getting “improved” into something worse??? Please bring it back!

the change happened quite a while ago, so to speak, "old news".
However, you can still save duplicates from the now significantly more extensive watchlist into your own lists.
It’s more cumbersome now, but still possible.

·8 months agoNot for me. It was still working until the day before yesterday. But today it works again, yay. So if someone starts tinkering around again, I'll only do 20% of my shopping here on eBay, because then you just can't compare anymore

then we’re all reassured here.

OP7 months agoYou can't be serious now, can you? In any case, you don't seem to be a collector, otherwise you could understand that. It takes hours. On some days I save up to 100 or more items! Now shopping is practically no longer possible, because you can't compare prices anymore. I am one of those who can no longer save items in lists. Why does it work on some accounts and not on others? I'd really like to have it back. 😭I've also seen other posts here where this was requested. Why does eBay keep messing around with what's proven to work instead of fixing the bugs? 🙄

·7 months agoHi @edler_wolf and @schwarzwald_elch
that really makes me wonder again why a private seller on eBay here needs such extensive information options about places to buy. You’re just liquidating your collection. Or are you buying here to resell for a profit?

What I buy and sell here on eBay is my business. You can also change your collecting area. Away from one thing, toward another.

·7 months agoI see it completely differently than you do too! And apparently, unfortunately, you still haven’t received a proper warning letter!

·7 months agoHi @schwarzwald_elch and @edler_wolf
that’s not complaining, but just a sober assessment of the facts derived from the profiles.
And the regular buying and selling of model cars is not a change of collecting area for me. But keep it up anyway.

Addendum:
Why should I respond to your forum post? My own lists work for me, and that’s that.
I give constructive answers when something hasn’t already been thoroughly chewed over in other posts. Maybe before creating a post, read up a bit more intensively using the keyword list. Then there won’t always have to be a new thread opened.

won on 28.12.2025 for €43.50
Buyer @schwarzwald_elch
According to the stated BW, very satisfied, and yet selling again right away?
Item 336379235905
Buy It Now (with price suggestion) €111.11
Seller: @edler_wolf
I didn't even have to look long for that

Hello everyone - since we are drifting away from the actual topic here and do not want to provoke any further netiquette violations, we are closing this. At this point, a reference to our newly redesigned legal portal, where the question "When does commercial activity on the eBay marketplace occur?" is also answered in detail. The following still applies: If you are not sure about your status, please contact a tax advisor or lawyer.
We continuously monitor sales activities, require a switch to commercial status if necessary, and point out that warnings by competitors or consumer protection organizations as well as court injunction claims with cost consequences may occur.
On the topic of watchlists: As already discussed intensively in other community topics, there are ongoing tests that are responsible for the different displays. If you, @edler_wolf, are missing the option to save items directly into multiple of your own watchlists again, since only the one default watchlist is available to you via the offer pages, then please pass the feedback on via the question mark on the page: My eBay - Watchlist .
In general, it is currently intended to move the watched offers into the respective lists via the My eBay - Watchlist page. In the eBay app, assigning items to your own lists is still possible via the item pages.
Thank you and best regards
Miriam
