Back in the day, eBay was a platform for people.Today, eBay is an impenetrable automation labyrinth with no reachable support.Since everything was switched over to AI, algorithms, and canned text, real customer focus has effectively no longer existed.You get blocked, restricted, or prevented from selling – without any clear explanation and without any way to speak to a human.Contact?Hold music, dead forms, standard replies after weeks or months.If at all.As a long-time customer, you now feel like you’re just in the way.Listing items simply doesn’t work anymore in some cases – supposedly because of “limits,” “policies,” or other content-free platitudes.Nothing is explained in real terms.Apparently, eBay no longer needs private sellers.That’s remarkable – because those very users are what once made eBay great.I can only wish eBay that they remember this attitude when the big retailers move on one day or have problems themselves.Automation without service is not innovation – it is arrogance.AI without transparency is not progress – it is contempt for customers.I have repeatedly tried to get help in a factual manner.The few responses were delayed, impersonal, and worthless in substance.Conclusion:eBay today seems like a company that has forgotten its roots and believes it can replace people with algorithms.Best of luck with that path.Wolfgang Cordes
