eBay "Wonderland": A play in several acts
Once upon a time ... (the other fairy tale)
.. when, as a seller, you have to defend the buyer against customer service.
(Case no.: 5348190223)
a.) a buyer starts a return request after almost four weeks (item defective/not as described)
b.) the item is not defective, but is simply not being used according to the instructions. (in principle: "A toaster can't brew coffee.")
c.) the buyer's return request is answered with an instruction manual.
d.) buyer: no response
e.) customer service is informed that no agreement is possible because the buyer is not responding.
f.) suggestion to customer service: the buyer can return the item at their own expense and receive their refund.
g.) buyer ships the item at their own expense, which is delivered shortly after, but forgets to enter the tracking number.
h.) note to customer service that the return was delivered on xx.xx.xxxx, with tracking number xxx by the shipping company xyz.
i.) customer service is instructed to issue the refund.
j.) two days later still no response. "Case" not decided yet.
There is no case here that still needs to be decided.
The buyer is now waiting unnecessarily long for their refund.

Messages to customer service are not delivered as copies.

In this "case" I can't issue a refund.

P.S.: The "fine print" is very small and written in white. 😉

·1 year agoYou have to issue the refund yourself within 2 days of receiving the item.
In your return cockpit under "Refund to buyer"
I see a bunch of asterisks in your text, but I can't find/see the fine print.
