Feature request: bid or purchase only possible with sufficient funds

I would like to see an optional feature for offers and auctions where you can only place an offer or confirm a purchase if you have sufficient funds in your eBay account balance.
Once the purchase is successful, the amount would automatically be deducted from the eBay balance. The buyer could then decide whether to keep the funds deducted or request a refund.
This would help prevent unpaid purchases and make the buying and selling process much more secure for both sides.

OP3 weeks agoit is an checkbox option , the seller will need to know it will lower total buyer count but increase odds of the r item actually being paid when bid

·3 weeks agoI don't see that as feasible either - as a buyer I wouldn't use it either, I don't keep any money parked even with PayPal

·3 weeks agoHow should that be possible? For example, I never pay with credit, and there is never any credit available in my shopping account because it is only used to make purchases.
That would mean eBay would unjustifiably restrict the group of buyers even further if payment could only be made with credit.
