wouldn't it make sense if orders that have been printed were also marked as such?
If I want to print a lot of orders, it can happen that I miss one in between - unfortunately, it doesn't stand out among the others.
When I've processed the orders and mark them all as shipped, I also mark the order I missed when printing - which of course is fatal!
Yes, I know, you can also print orders in bulk - but I don't really like doing that because of the overview.
And besides, if more orders come in during the day, you would immediately see up to where they have already been printed.
So a marking would really make sense - wouldn't it?

it’s not really a solution to the problem, let alone whether one will ever come.
Still, here’s a quick rundown of how I handle it - because at the beginning I always got mixed up too.
1. These days I do it in batches. I mark all the orders I’m processing (so also want to print) and print the invoices as PDF for me to save and on paper for the customer.
2. Since after printing the orders all stay marked, I immediately go to “mark as shipped”. Since I make everything shipping-ready straight after printing anyway, that’s no problem. This moves the orders from “sold” to “shipped”. So I can’t mix them up.
3. After I’ve created the labels (externally), I add the tracking numbers if needed, and then I move them to the archive.
That way everything stays neat and easy to keep track of for me.
I got used to this way of working very quickly and also saved time by bundling things when printing. Give it a try, after a while it works really smoothly.
And if more orders come in, just start the whole thing over from the beginning with the new ones.
As I said, not the solution you wanted, but this way I can still work in an organized way.

after more than 2 months, may I ask whether anything is still happening with this matter - or whether I can file this away on the eBay side as read, possibly discussed and forgotten?

·4 months agoBasically, it would be enough if sold or paid items could be sorted so that it shows whether postage was purchased through eBay - surely you can still sort by shipped / not shipped (that used to work, at least) ?

but that wouldn't help people like me, who generally don't use Ebay postage anyway!
And yes, you can still sort by shipped/not shipped - but I'm talking about printed / not printed.

Unfortunately, I’m not aware of any change in that regard, @imperial-modellbau .
The option still remains to print orders in batches and then process them directly afterward (e.g. mark them as shipped), so that new orders automatically remain recognizable as still untouched.
But I do understand your actual wish for a visible marking of printed orders, and your feedback remains understandable.

well, that first of all depends on whether your management also considers this to be sensible.
If so, it depends on what can be implemented most easily and practically on the IT side !
- The luxury version would probably be if printed orders/invoices were displayed with a slightly greyed-out background.
- As a medium version, I could imagine the button "Create shipping label" being changed after printing to "Order printed / now create shipping label" or being newly introduced like this.
- As a low-cost version, you could perhaps have a printer symbol appear next to the truck icon (shipping instructions) after printing.
There are certainly other ways it could be displayed - but unfortunately my IT knowledge doesn't go that far.
Maybe it would help to ask one of the experts how this could best be solved !
And to your question:
I use the "Print invoices and more" function - although we both now know that what I can print there are not invoices, but at best order confirmations.
But we don't need to have that particular discussion again - that's enough for me and, more importantly, for my tax office too ! 😉

Hello @imperial-modellbau - I’d be happy to take that on as a suggestion for improvement. Would you like to explain in a bit more detail how you imagine your printed orders being labeled on the overview page in Seller Cockpit Pro? Do you only print out the purchase details, or do you generate an invoice via eBay?
