New banner: shipping instructions
Hi everyone,
there’s been this banner for a while now. What I find questionable, though, is this paragraph:
"If you buy a shipping label on eBay, you can choose from various services for which we have negotiated discounted rates."
That gives the impression that, as a seller, I can save money on shipping here. But that’s not true at all, right? Only the normal private-customer rates are offered?

when it comes to returns, I sometimes find eBay shipping labels quite cheap as a seller, especially if you want to handle the return of large and heavy packages, e.g. DHL 120x60x60 cm up to 31.5 kg (withdrawal) or have to (buyer protection case).....
these shipping instructions may seem annoying to experienced sellers, but there are enough new sellers or returning sellers getting back into it. The note is clear enough, unfortunately unnecessary for some if they don’t read or understand it. Recently had a returning seller in the forum who thought the shipping labels on eBay were free, buyer pays for the item + shipping and seller thought the shipping costs were still owed to him. "Unfortunately, the eBay info does not make it quite clear that the shipping labels are not free. "
and as for packaging skills, lately I’ve received several shipments from experienced sellers that were packaged terribly, of course experienced sellers are liable for shipping but handling goods so carelessly is unbelievable!
in the next feedback if something like that happens again, I’ll write "please read and follow the shipping instructions in the details of the purchase"

You save yourself work with the Ebay labels and sometimes even get seller protection on top of that. Do you really think all that comes for free? 😉😂
