"Summarize Porto" - function disappeared
Summary: smilinguido888 reported that the option to interrupt the checkout process to combine shipping is no longer available. This led to shipping being charged multiple times by mistake for several identical items. The seller refunded the excess shipping via PayPal, which is however cumbersome. perfect-sally explained that eBay has changed this feature and that sellers should offer combined shipping. In addition, refunding through PayPal could be disadvantageous for the seller, since the fees remain unchanged.
Before, I could interrupt my purchase process to give the seller the opportunity to combine the postage. I can no longer find this important feature in the checkout.
I had just ordered five identical items and the postage was automatically charged 5x. To be fair, the seller refunded the excess postage to me via Paypal, but it's pretty stupid that it no longer works any other way.
Could this please be made available again?!

·1 month agoHi @smilinguido888
unfortunately, it has been the case for quite a while that Buy It Now items have to be paid for immediately.
In future, ask your seller about combined shipping, add the items to your cart after their reply, and then request the total amount.
Best wishes from the Baltic Sea

·1 month ago · EditedeBay changed something some time ago, unfortunately. And actually, if a seller offers identical items multiple times, they should have set up combined shipping.
And if he refunded you via PayPal, then he shot himself in the foot if he didn’t refund through eBay. Because then the fees stay as they are and are not credited back to the seller proportionally.
And actually, you ask about combined shipping BEFORE making a purchase; however, there is no entitlement to it.
