Invoices in 4x6 - Is this a joke?
Summary: bixtron expresses dissatisfaction that eBay will accept shipping labels starting in 2026, but generates invoices in an impractical 4x6 format, which is unusual for invoices. They criticize the fact that when this format is selected, an invoice number cannot be added, which makes the document invalid. perfect-sally shares his practice of saving invoices as PDFs and printing them on DIN A4, and asks what exactly the problem with the format is. bixtron goes on to explain that the current format change makes no sense and hopes that the needed changes for shipping labels will be available soon.
Hello,
it’s nice that eBay in 2026 has finally recognized the standard format for shipping labels. But why the hell for invoices? Who prints their invoices on labels??

When will we finally get the correct format for shipping labels - especially for stamps?
It would also be great if the settings (info to display on the invoices) didn’t keep getting automatically deselected or changed...

·1 month ago · EditedI’ve never printed those directly from eBay, I always saved them as a PDF first and then printed them.
It’s a small detour, but I have to save the invoices anyway for accounting.
Besides, the 8.5 x 11 inch format is roughly equivalent to DIN A4 anyway, so what’s your problem? Nobody has to choose the 4 x 6.

OP1 month agoI do that too, but the PDF is created according to the selected format. The format I chose is and remains DIN A4, of course.
But who prints their invoice on 4x6 labels? It would look like this:
Then there’s also the fact that if you choose this format, you can’t enter an invoice number, which makes the document invalid.
My problem is that this feature makes no sense like this and can lead to problems. It’s also missing exactly where we’ve needed it for a long time: on the shipping labels. But maybe that’s finally starting to happen with this change...
