Hello, payment for stamps via PayPal and the collective invoices by mail were actually supposed to be discontinued. So far, that doesn't seem to have happened yet. But once that is the case, I see big problems for all commercial sellers whose products are mainly shipped by letter: Invoicing We are now supposed to download every single invoice via a link that we receive by email. I had already tested payment via credit balance and was able to identify problems: Receipt of the email and the functionality of the link are not guaranteed 100%.If you cancel a stamp - whenever you do it - the original invoice expires immediately (even before the actual refund) and can no longer be downloaded.No more invoice corrections/cancelled invoices are issued.Of course, absolutely cumbersome. In particular, if the credit for a stamp is only issued in the following month or even the following year, it cannot be the case that there is no invoice anymore for the original payment and no invoice correction is issued. Example: I buy a stamp for €1.80 in December 2025. In January 2026, €1.80 is credited to me. From an accounting perspective, it then looks like this: December 2025: expense €1.80January 2026: expense reduction €1.80 According to the eBay billing report, however, it looks like this: December 2025: expense €0.00 So I can't use the billing report, because it only lists the corrected monthly total amount (shipping costs minus credits). I would then have to piece together the transaction details with great effort. As a result, proper accounting is no longer possible or it involves unnecessary effort. Before, we received the collective invoices + invoice corrections by mail. That should still be possible after the change too - especially since PayPal is no longer involved. And if they come digitally, that's no problem. Stamp creation/printing Granted, this doesn't have anything to do with the change, but it should be possible to create the labels directly in the desired format. Either the format for label printers and/or (as DP itself offers) printing several stamps on one DIN A4 page. There are special label sheets for this. Those with label printers and several letters a day always have to reformat this in a cumbersome way. One already reads here about scripts that have to be used; I myself also had to think and tinker for a long time until I found a solution for it.It doesn't need to be fully automated. But in my opinion these changes should not be a problem for eBay. DP itself offers DIN A4 and numerous other formats - a "forwarding" of these should certainly be doable(?) Seller protection If it stays this way, apart from seller protection I see no reason anymore to buy stamps through eBay. In the Deutsche Post shop, I can print several stamps at once via the label printer and receive a single invoice and, if necessary, an invoice correction. What I then do find unfair is that seller protection exists for the stamps with "eBay" printed prominently on them, while stamps bought outside of eBay (even though eBay is only the intermediary) do not have seller protection. It is also contradictory: because of the imprint, eBay stamps immediately make it obvious that the letter contains goods. I'll summarize my suggestions again: Invoicing Payments are grouped decimally and listed in one invoice.Credits are also grouped decimally and listed in one invoice. Stamp creation/printing Using the already existing tab "Shipping labels", the labels listed there (and already paid for) can be selected, for example via checkbox, and printed together. Both for label printers (either DP formats and/or standard dimensions such as 62x100m), and for the DIN A4 label sheets (see format label sheet Deutsche Post, e.g. max. 24/page). Seller protection For all stamps purchased via eBay or the DP shop. For registered mail etc., still with proof of posting + recipient address.
