Sales commission - EUR 0.35 per order, good for expensive items - bad for items under €10
Hello everyone,
after **bleep** noticeably lowered the fees for items under 10 euros in favor of the seller, I wonder when Ebay will take action here. I have been selling on Ebay for over 15 years and 99% of the time items that are under 10 euros. I always pay sales fees of 0.35 euros. This amount hurts more with a cheap item than when I sell an item here for over 100 euros. Why is it not possible to make the whole thing fair for sellers and not punish sellers with inexpensive goods again and again through these high sales commissions. Doesn’t Ebay know the saying "Live and let live".
As thanks for the great work, you receive a certificate and a tree is planted somewhere in Germany. A nice campaign, but what do I as a seller get out of it??? More and more Chinese goods are appearing on the German Ebay platform and anyone can sell fake models under the same names without anyone caring, but the Ebay seller is always supposed to be cheap. None of this will work forever. Ebay lives off the sellers!!!

the 0.35 euros are not sales fees, but processing fees.
You also had to pay these with PayPal before the new payment processing.
Otherwise, you have to factor all costs into the sale price and score points with good service.
If that is no longer possible, you should consider changing your product range.

·1 year agoAs long as the private and supposedly private sellers are allowed to sell for free, nothing will definitely be adjusted to the fees in favor of the commercial sellers 😞

·1 year agoAnd is it now better if only commercial sellers are fleeced? The day will come and eBay will realize that it makes no sense to let private individuals sell for free 😉
