Why different search results?

Why is it so cumbersome to search for something here these days.

I had already mentioned it once because of windshield wipers. Right now, for example, I'm looking for sneaker socks.

When you enter something in the search, different results appear than when you click your way through (even if the filters are the same.

Here's an example:

1. With search:

Hello ambuster,

the difference in the number is due to the different restrictions in the category.

In your first example, you are searching in Clothing & Accessories > Men

In your second search, you narrow it down to Clothing & Accessories > Men > Men's Fashion >Socks. Hence significantly fewer search results.
