Arbitrary blocking of B2B offers: 20k sales lost – eBay is dismantling itself!
Summary: kirch6501 expresses concern about the arbitrary suspension of B2B listings on eBay, which has led to a loss of 20,000 sales. They criticize eBay for putting its own platform at risk through such measures.
Hello everyone,
I need to vent about the current "AI regulation" and the so-called Concierge Service.
One of our most successful offerings, over 20,000 sales, top ratings, was suspended without reason due to an alleged violation of the Product Safety Act.
The "logic" behind it: On the phone, the Concierge Service just mumbles standard phrases: Magnets could be swallowed by children.
The reality:
These are massive magnets. If someone swallows them, they have much bigger problems than the Product Safety Act.
The item is listed in a business category created by eBay itself (industrial supplies).
It is explicitly NOT a toy.
There is no eBay policy that forbids the sale of industrial magnets. Yet an apparently completely out-of-control AI randomly suspends listings, while support doesn't even have the competence (or the permission) to look at the listing and correct the system's error.
We pay over €25,000 a month in fees to this platform. You would think that would make you a partner interested in revenue. Instead, you get systematically tripped up.
If eBay is no longer interested in professional B2B sellers, then that's the clear message.
We will draw our conclusions and massively shift focus to **bleep** and our own online shop. If you don't want to, then you already have.
Has anyone else had similar experiences with the suspension of technical magnet accessories in the business sector?
Are there still moderators here who know the difference between a children's toy and a 350-KG magnet?
Thanks for nothing, eBay.
