Pay with PayPal in US dollars or euros?
If I buy an item in the USA from Germany and want to pay with PayPal, I’m asked whether I want to pay in US dollars or euros. Which is cheaper? So without a linked credit card.

OP6 months agoWell, PayPal belongs to eBay, and it’s about eBay purchases anyway. That’s why I thought I’d be in the right place here too. But if, in the end, it hardly matters how you do it, then the topic is settled too. Unless someone else still has something clever to add. Thanks in advance!

·6 months agoI suppose that, in terms of the exchange rate, there won’t be much difference via PP.

OP6 months agoThanks for the answer.
But could someone maybe explain to me how the process behind both versions works.

I see it this way: if you send € it'll probably be exchanged in the recipient country, and if you send $ the currency will probably be exchanged here before sending.
I always send € myself, no matter where, but honestly I've never really thought about it for a few € or whatever the other currency is, one way or the other.
