eBay status isn’t updating: parcel picked up according to DHL, still at the branch according to eBay – buyer rea
Summary: A participant reports that a buyer picked up a package at the parcel shop, but the status on eBay still shows that the package is still at the branch. This is causing confusion and possibly problems with the transaction.
Hello everyone,
I sold an item here on eBay and shipped it via DHL parcel (so with insurance and tracking).
The parcel could not be delivered on the delivery day because the recipient was not at home. The shipment was then forwarded to the nearest branch. According to the tracking on the DHL site, the shipment has now been picked up by the buyer. However, according to the tracking here on eBay, the shipment is still showing the status "Shipment is available for pickup at the branch".
Unfortunately, the buyer is not responding to my messages, in which I point out the situation and ask him to manually set the item to "Delivered". Since the status is stuck on eBay, my money is of course also being withheld.
What options do I have now to trigger the status update or the payout?

·1 month agoI have that problem too, unfortunately. The shipment was picked up from the parcel shop by the buyer, but the status on eBay doesn't change.

I picked up the package on 13.05., but it is still being shown as "Ready for pickup".

that's very nice of you to point out that you picked up the package. However, your seller should be the one to speak up here if there are problems with the payout,

·3 months agoI have the same situation with item no. 236739743400, it was picked up directly after being forwarded from the branch on 19/05/26, but on eBay it is still shown as available for pickup. It has now been more than 4 days.

same here, my item 800022001544 was successfully delivered the day before yesterday but the shipment status isn’t changing, even though everything is listed down to the last detail and it also shows as delivered at DHL.
The system probably can’t handle the redirections, mine was also forwarded to the branch.
With some cheap stuff that wouldn’t bother me so much, but for things worth over €1300, you’d already want proper handling...

thank you very much for the feedback. The shipment tracking has now been changed manually. However, the payment will only be released at a later time. You can see this more precisely in your customer account under Payments, as soon as the update is visible there as well.

Delivered to the DHL branch on Tuesday, 19.05., and picked up by the buyer on Wednesday, 20.05.
I wasn't aware that eBay tracking can lag behind or be behind - in a parallel sale, the shipment status updated immediately.

is your balance from the parallel sale available now, or is the amount still being withheld? With only 2 sales, and relatively high-priced ones at that, payout via eBay can definitely take longer.

When was the parcel picked up by the buyer according to DHL (date, time)?

·3 months agoThere is no function on eBay that would allow the buyer to mark it as delivered! And tracking on eBay is often behind. Just wait a bit longer!
