I have the same problem that for several of my orders the shipping status is not being updated, even though according to the DHL site they have already arrived since November 7. These are two DHL packages and one Prio letter. Among other things, this is delaying the payout.

Yes, I have reloaded the page several times. The status on eBay is still Shipped, or "Shipped - carrier scan 24 Apr".

With eBay label with tracking number.
DHL itself is not updating it, but it has arrived with the buyer. He confirmed it when I asked and left feedback.
Do I have to wait? Can the buyer mark it himself (at least it used to work)? What happens next?

If the shipping status is not updated by DHL, unfortunately there is nothing we can do.
You will still receive the payout, just with a delay.
Unfortunately, you just have to wait here, as ratings or messages from buyers are not sufficient for manual approval.

Neither of those counts as proof of delivery for eBay! You need a tracking number and proof of delivery from the shipping provider.
And of course, if buyers have the choice, they’ll choose the cheaper shipping, so sellers shouldn’t even offer it in the first place!
However, I don’t see any shipping option on your item, just “Other,” and that doesn’t say anything.

as @perfect-sally has already written, payment holds arise if you can't provide proof of delivery and shipment:
Did you send it by DHL or Hermes parcel? With a DHL parcel, you don't have tracking.
Also, it wasn't your buyer who chose the parcel, but you yourself.

the buyer can only choose what you offer in the listing. What Ebay offers you when creating a shipping label is a completely different matter.
As a seller, you should always make sure you have proof of shipping and delivery. If you don’t have that, it’s not a disaster either, it just means that your money will be withheld longer for buyer protection reasons.

I have checked both tracking numbers and, based on the tracking on the Deutsche Post website, I can’t see any delivery.
As long as the status on the website of the relevant transport service provider does not show a delivery scan, we cannot make any update or manual release. So I have to ask you to be a little patient here.

Just wait, you will get your money, even if it could take up to 30 days.

Hello @priceless_berlin - the tracking update for the order number ending in -21903 has just been completed. The update of the tracking number depends on the shipping provider selected and when the shipping provider transmits the respective or last shipping status to eBay.
For the second order, the tracking already shows a delivery. This will affect the date of payment release.
Please avoid submitting duplicate inquiries at the same time in the future (via the Community & our customer service) - thanks! 🙂

I had a problem printing the label. The noreply email from DHL didn’t include a .pdf that I could print. I also could no longer retrieve the label on the eBay page.
Since the purchase of the label had already marked it as shipped, I temporarily marked it as not shipped. I went to the post office and had the label created there using the QR code.
The package has arrived, but it is still shown here in tracking as not shipped.

·7 months agoTracking often lags behind. But even with tracking working correctly, you will probably have to wait longer for your money.
No current seller rating and expensive electronics sold, which are prone to complaints. Ebay calls that risk management.

·7 months agoGuys, please finally understand that "new" sellers and/or sellers who haven’t sold anything for a long time or only generate a few sales have to wait longer for payout.
As a rule, 30 days, until the buyer’s objection period has expired.
You all accepted these terms and conditions with the T&Cs!

I sent it by registered mail with proof of delivery.
The buyer has already received the item, only the postal tracking hasn't been updated.

Nothing has happened since then.
So now my money is being withheld because eBay thinks it wasn't delivered..

I have the same problem, that the tracking is not being updated, even though the package has already arrived at the recipient's address.
It is a DHL Express shipment, strangely DHL Germany was selected, although it was specified differently... I also already tried to edit the tracking and change the shipping service to "DHL Express Germany" or "DHL Express International", but without success.
I hope you can help me further.

·11 months agoIt’s annoying that a new payment is being withheld because of this. Normally it’s available within 2 days and not only after delivery. That’s actually only the case if a delivery is sent late. But that’s not the case here. There’s really no reason to withhold the payment.

·11 months agoFor eBay it doesn't matter whether the payment for the affected item is being held back or a payment that has nothing to do with the affected item. For eBay, what matters is that funds are available so refunds can be issued more easily.

I currently have a similar problem, that an item (order number: 17-13434-77784) was already handed over to the post on 15.08, but the tracking on eBay says the shipping label was only created on 17.08.
As a result, another payment is now being withheld from me due to the item not being shipped on time. But it was shipped on time.

·11 months agoI've sold over 30 items and so far there have never been any problems here with a payout being held. I'm sure it's due to the incorrectly "late" shipping. It would be nice if the status could be updated on eBay and the payment released at the same time.

Thanks for the feedback. It’s not due to the delayed shipment. The item has not yet been delivered, among other things. Many factors play a role in releasing an amount, including the 30-day buyer protection period, especially for larger amounts. Unfortunately, we do not carry out manual updates like that. So a little patience would be helpful here 😊.

·11 months agoLike I said, it has never been like this before, not even with higher amounts. I know that with delayed shipping there is a hold until delivery. That is 100% the reason here, the system also recognizes this in Seller Cockpit Pro. Only there was NO delayed shipping.
Why aren’t any updates being made? Payment hold or not, the shipment status on eBay is simply wrong. What am I supposed to do now if the system doesn’t recognize that it was delivered and therefore my payments are being held even longer? Surely you understand that I can’t accept that.

Neither delivery nor a positive review has to trigger an immediate payout.

On Ebay, the shipment status unfortunately keeps getting stuck, sometimes quite a lot.
Ebay and DHL keep passing the buck to each other there.
Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do except wait.
The only thing is, you could try whether you can get the payout started through customer service.

Hello @techniknerd-9 - I've been following this thread, and until delivery has taken place, it generally doesn't make much sense to have the shipment tracking updated manually. Please be a little more patient - as @melina@ebay, @verena@ebay and the notice in your eBay account will tell you, the amount for this sale will be held back until we have been able to confirm delivery.

Hello @kouiji_31! Please change your shipping provider via Edit shipment tracking to DHL Germany, then the tracking should update correctly and the payment release should also take place. Currently DPD is stored.
