Your text:
The temporary adjustment of your account payout conditions serves to protect our marketplace and everyone involved. If unusual selling activity is detected on an account, payouts may temporarily only be released 2 days after confirmed delivery...........
This response is one of the required responses specified by Ebay.
How naive does Ebay think its sellers are?
To protect the marketplace? ....More likely to protect the Ebay account?
Even AI couldn't be that blind as to punish innocent sellers who have sold on Ebay successfully for decades without any problems and generated several thousand euros in sales every day, so unjustifiably and excessively; yes, punish — there is no other way to describe this breach of contract by Ebay.
Ebay has written in its own sacred house rules that if measures are taken, they must be communicated and justified exactly via info email!
Ebay did not do that, not a single line, only that the payouts were now set to 2 days after delivery, end of story.
Our legal team is now reviewing these circumstances, the unjustified breach of contract, the withholding of our property, the information announced in the house rules that never took place, and whether these measures comply with legal requirements.
I simply find it a shame that after more than 30 years with Ebay, such a breach of trust on Ebay's part is even possible.
I think that a great deal at Ebay is not right and is being taken out on the backs of the remaining paying commercial sellers.
Ebay simply forgets that every such measure is to its own great disadvantage, but that is probably intended, for whatever reason?
Best regards
from a very angry former seller

OP5 days agoUpdate
as before our daily payment is being withheld, now for over 50 days!!
Enough is enough now, you don’t get any information from anyone,
even miriam@ebay.de no longer responds to inquiries ?
We have now involved the Darmstadt public prosecutor’s office in this case through our legal counsel.
As always in our country, this is taking forever once again.
If there’s anything new, I’ll report back

OP2 weeks agoHello
miriam@ebay.de
Can you check for me how much longer this payout block is supposed to go on for us?
As of today, it’s been exactly 40 days that our payouts have been being paid out with delays.
Especially why the 2 days after delivery have occasionally turned into 5 days or 7 days.
Thanks
Regards

Hi Thomas,
unfortunately I can only keep my fingers crossed for you, hoping that all this sh... will soon be resolved for you.
I don’t know the internal communication between Ebay and you, but from how it comes across here I can only say that you’ve been dealing with this crap for a damn long time.
I wouldn’t want to swap, and I wouldn’t want to either.
Best wishes from the Baltic Sea

Hello @modellautos-hessen ! We can see your ongoing dissatisfaction, and that the displayed release date 8 days after the purchase date is frustrating for you.
In certain cases, payments are temporarily held back as part of our automated security processes to support the secure processing of the purchase. Release for your account usually takes place within two days after delivery. In individual cases, enhanced payment holds can apply, so that the release only takes place on the respective displayed release date.
I understand that this explanation is not a satisfactory answer for you. I have already passed your feedback as well as your criticism of the effects of payment holds on to the relevant teams and have also drawn internal attention once again to your current post.
We appreciate your many years of selling on eBay and the temporary measure is not directed against you or your long-standing loyalty to eBay, but serves to protect everyone involved. Even though I can understand that this approach is met with incomprehension from you, I hope that you will remain with us as a seller despite your current disappointment.
Kind regards
Miriam

Available
Your shipment has been delivered! If the buyer does not report any problems with this order, the amount will be released on 17 July.
That’s a whopping 8 days !!!!
Ebay, enough already.
ALL SALES STOPPED
We have been working with relevant media for years, and we will now bring this abuse at Ebay to the media.
It cannot be that blameless sellers, just because they made more sales, are punished like this at Ebay.
Ebay has broken our contract with Ebay without justification. Daily payout, direct information in the event of justified incidents and measures.
None of that applies; against every house rule, sellers are being disciplined here, simply shut down.
Not like this, Ebay.

·1 month agoLuckily, we have our own legal department in-house, which makes things much easier.
Since we're in Germany, of course everything moves as slowly as ever, first it gets reviewed, then, if the outlook is positive, an application for a lawsuit is filed with a court, and that can take a while before anything happens.
Only injunctions to remove unjustified negative reviews are quick; everything else can take years.
But if there’s anything new, I’ll let everyone know here.

Hello @modellautos-hessen - we can see that you’ve described your emotional state in several community topics, and I can understand that the adjustment of the payout conditions, especially after your long selling history on eBay, is very upsetting for you.
The measure is part of our security processes and serves to protect the marketplace. It is reviewed regularly and automatically lifted as soon as the requirements for it are met.
All the details we can share about this measure are in the email you received on 17/06/2026 "Payouts on eBay - What’s changing".
I take your feedback and criticism on board and have just passed them on again accordingly.
Kind regards
Miriam

OP1 month agoHello Miriam
Thank you for your reply .
17.06.2026 received email "Payouts on eBay - What's changing".
Yes, it said that the payout is changing, 2 days after delivery, the money will be credited to our account.
There wasn't any more information than that, why, how long, and why at all, e.g. nothing that could somehow explain why.
But it also didn't say that the payouts haven't been made for 7 days now, despite delivery, and no, no buyer has reported a problem with the item.
We have a contract with eBay that states that we have daily payouts; since eBay's own house rules have now been broken and we were not properly informed about the measure, eBay has tacitly broken our contract for daily payouts.
eBay's "offense" is grounds for legal action and a cease-and-desist letter, to be honest I would rethink this again, this approach by eBay.
Setting aside the fact that eBay is certainly not making friends with such dubious measures, we are also going to reduce our sales inventory to almost 0 for now and wait to see what happens next.
I'm curious whether at least an email will then come from eBay with the information that this unacceptable measure has been ended.
Thank you again for taking on our issue.
Regards
Thomas

·1 month agoWasn't that just a topic recently, and happened to a commercial seller too? Maybe the search can still find it somehow.
As far as I remember, it turned out that there were apparently several bidders from the neighborhood/neighborhood networks or however you want to put it, and it took (?) 1-2 weeks before the all-clear was given.
If eBay checks, scans, and hunts through automated matching systems a lot, then all sorts of things come up that may have absolutely nothing to do with actual "misconduct."
Maybe that helps you. ;-)

I don’t know what happened with you, but you’ve already hired a lawyer.
Please also point him to your replies regarding the gray ratings, so that afterwards no one thinks it’s only the others’ fault, but never yours.
What goes around comes around.

OP1 month agonothing happened, except that we increased our turnover last month,
After a phone call with the appropriate Ebay representative, we were bluntly told that this was the trigger for us to be "reviewed" ,
ok, now after 30 years, without any problems, with thousands of euros in sales per month, with our own packaging logistics, daily DHL pickup at our premises and even with Ebay tape.
we are now being checked to see whether we always ship our packages correctly 😁😁😁
If I didn't know better, I would say, welcome to the new kindergarten.
Safety is right and important, but please don't behave so clumsily, uninformed and so condescendingly toward business partners who pay quite a lot.
That is unprofessional and simply not worthy of a global corporation.
Yes, it is Ebay .
