why can’t you just change your bank details like before and tell eBay? I have a new IBAN and would like to store it with eBay so I can sell again. But I’m supposed to provide and disclose my login bank details via another provider: Trustly! Why? I don’t know this service and I don’t trust it either. It was easy on **bleep**.de, why does eBay make it so difficult now? What is the advantage of Trustly? I don’t understand it! And one more question right away: Why can’t my eBay Plus fee be debited from my account? It only works via credit card! In any case, as long as eBay doesn’t change that, I’ll sell on **bleep**.de. A pity really. And if nothing happens at all, I may have to think about my Plus subscription. I always liked selling a lot on eBay. Is there somewhere you can contact support on eBay? Does anyone have an address for me? Couldn’t find anything on the website.

·1 month agoTip: have third-party bank access blocked at your bank, that way you can prevent accidentally granting a company read access to your account retroactively for 30 days, e.g. "because you thought it was only SEPA".

·1 month agoPresumably ebay bzy TRustly uses third-party bank access. That is not SEPA, but rather the authorization to view all your/our bank data from the last 30 days. That way ...every account credit loan, car, cost of living - you become a glass person. Caution, Immoscout does it too.....

You can only store your bank details directly in your eBay account, as we do not have access to them. But don’t worry, your data is safe.
Your eBay Plus subscription is paid using a payment method stored separately for eBay Plus (PayPal, direct debit, or credit card).

OP3 months agoBut that’s exactly the problem! When I want to change my IBAN, a new window opens and I’m supposed to enter my login bank details: username and password. What’s that about? Why do you need that? At the bottom of the window it says the service is from Trustly, no idea why you work with that service to store bank details. In any case, I can’t update my IBAN like this; maybe you should try it yourselves. I’ve attached a screenshot. It would be nice if, like before, you could just enter the IBAN directly.

The login prompt that appears comes from Trustly, a service for verifying bank account connections. eBay uses this step to securely review changes to payout details and confirm your bank account. If the window seems unfamiliar to you, that’s understandable – it’s an external verification step and not a normal manual IBAN entry like before.
eBay just wants to make sure that you are the account holder too.
