eBay tracking isn't being updated, so no payouts!
Summary: mobatreff reports that their eBay account has been set to a payout method for over two months in which payments are made only two days after delivery. The basic shipment tracking via Deutsche Post often shows the correct status, but it is not updated on eBay, which leads to problems with payouts. bixtron resignedly suggests either accepting the situation or considering legal action, since eBay processes run automatically and are rarely adjusted manually. They also feel let down by eBay, as successful deliveries are often not recognized and international market principles are put above protecting sellers.
Good day,
for inexplicable reasons, my account has been switched for 2 1/2 months now to payout “Within 2 days after customer delivery”. Now I have the situation that I send low-value items like magazines or model cars as letters and use basic shipment tracking, and also store that in eBay in the sales process.
But the eBay algorithm seems to be rolling the dice with these shipment tracks as to which shipments it updates and pays out from Deutsche Post tracking and which it doesn’t.
So I have the following shipments here, where the eBay shipment tracking says that I only provided the tracking number. But when I click the tracking link, which leads to the Deutsche Post page, I can see there that the shipments were already in transit long ago. In some cases, I’ve already received the customer feedback for those too.
Order:
The eBay chatbot is no help here, because it only uses the data from eBay sales processing itself and cannot be persuaded to update the data from the Deutsche Post page.
In addition, it seems to me that the post office does not scan every shipment accurately, so in tracking it says “status open” even though it was already delivered long ago. I handed in the shipments myself at the local mail center, but there also seems to be something wrong with the processing at Deutsche Post. Customer feedback confirming receipt of the goods is also already available for some of these. It makes no difference whether the item has an online-purchased stamp on it or one/more self-adhesive stamps from the post shop.
It would maybe be nice if there were some clarification here, or even a fix.

I’d say either accept it or go to a lawyer, because if you look at similar situations, rarely anything gets done. The process “to protect the marketplace” (NOT to protect buyers/sellers!!) is automatic and isn’t manually interrupted, if I understood that correctly... It’s absolutely detached from reality, but that’s just how it is here...
Ebay is harassing me again too with shipping defects that don’t even exist and once again doesn’t want to act, despite missing/incorrect definitions in the policies (e.g. missing acceptance and delivery scans) or other watertight evidence, but also rules from the specialist department.
What your buyers say is just as irrelevant to eBay as a positive rating or even a buyer’s written confirmation that they received the item.
What’s in store for us in the future? No proof of delivery = the money belongs to eBay or what..?
That’s obviously not to protect the marketplace - anyone who believes that...
PS: Do you use a thermal printer? I switched away from paper a long time ago and since then 99% of letters have been scanned. But of course it could also be due to the letter centers in your case.
