30 days withheld all of a sudden.
Summary: m.r.business reports that some amounts are being withheld for 30 days without prior notice, even though all items were shipped and delivered on time. modellautos-hessen agrees that this happens to many sellers and is presented as a marketplace security measure, but suspects that it serves the platform’s financial advantage. m.r.business expresses incomprehension and explains that quick releases are necessary to pay invoices. bixtron describes that he hasn’t been able to edit or list any items for over two weeks and that customer service has been of little help.
Good day everyone.
As of today, some payments are being randomly withheld for 30 days, even though everything was sent and delivered on time.
In some places it’s already kind of funny when, after delivery, you still have to wait a few days until the money is released.
And now 30 days, without any announcement whatsoever?
As sellers, we don’t have unlimited capital ... and calling customer service didn’t help either, because they said they couldn’t do anything. But when you then want to speak to someone who actually knows about this, you get put off ...
Does anyone have an idea?

·3 weeks agowelcome to the club , a lot of people are feeling that way right now. Always with the excuse that it's for the security of the marketplace.
It looks more like it's serving eBay's coffers , something about an interest-free loan, even if only for a few days,

OP3 weeks agoI just don't see the point behind it.
Are these now going to be kept back the entire time, or will they "take pity" and release them earlier too?
Because let's be honest: we all still have bills to pay.

·3 weeks ago · EditedI haven't been able to edit or list items for over 2 weeks. Ebay couldn't care less about you and your business.
You can only have it checked legally, formally ask eBay in writing once, and then either sue and/or leave eBay. Unfortunately, nothing else helps anymore.

·3 weeks agoMy experience: At ebay, they show no mercy. Where would that get you? The customers are being led around by the nose and are supposed to be grateful for it too. The so-called customer support is a Potemkin village meant to pretend to be support. In fact, nobody there helps you. Like I said, that’s my experience.
