Fees related to a cancelled order

Hi there,

Im completely new to Ebay. I created an account here because I saw an offer on a pair of sennheiser headphones.

In the proces of ordering the headphones, a message reminded me that the seller mgiht not ship the product to Denmark, where i live. So I decided to contact the seller, to confirm whether he could or not.

Now, it took some time for him to respond, and in the meantime I found a similar pair of headphones at a lower price here in Denmark. Thus i wanted to cancel the order.

Now he claims that he will get a 10% fine (20euro) if he has no cancel the purchase because thats "ebay rules". Is this correct? Why cant he just resell the product? I cannot see how ebay have any influence on this purcase watsoever.

We are both interested in cancelling the order without any "penalty" which IMO seems absolutely absurd.
