Hello everyone! I don't quite understand the automatic ratings. Does this system apply only to commercial sellers or also to private sellers? It often happens that as a buyer I give no rating if I am dissatisfied with the condition of the item, the packaging, or the communication. But then Ebay gives a positive rating for the seller - as it were on my behalf - provided the item was delivered on time and I had not reported a problem? That would then force me to leave a rating in which I explain exactly what was not okay for me about a transaction. But I wouldn't find that appropriate toward some sellers who apologized for a mistake or offered me a return shipment. In such cases I would then come across in the ratings like an unfair complainer, and I don't want that either.

I bought an item here from a commercial seller ( item number: 157627196781 ), but it was then delivered by amazon. So my data was passed on to another company without my consent. Is that now standard practice?

Hello everyone Unfortunately, I haven’t found a way to contact eBay directly yet, and the contact with the AI is useless. I hope someone here can help me. I’m not receiving some emails from eBay ... e.g. when an item has been sold, or when I reply to a message (the checkbox for copy to me is, logically, checked). However, I do get emails when a seller lists new items that I have saved in a search. In the settings in my account, I have all types of notifications checked. I’ve also already removed them and set them again. It’s not good when an item gets sold and you don’t notice. Or only via the eBay app on your phone a day later :-( The emails also don’t end up in SPAM or my mail gateway; they simply don’t arrive there at all. Thank you in advance Klaus

Hello everyone, I bought a used but working radio for my car. At least that’s what the listing from the seller said. Unfortunately this one doesn’t work, or is defective. It was even checked and measured by a workshop. After a long back and forth with the seller, I’m supposed to send it back. But I don’t see why I should pay for return shipping for a defective radio. How should I proceed? Maybe someone here has some advice or has had something similar. Thanks ☺️
