Kantinen Porzellan DDR Volksmarine und Bundesmarine

Hallo.. Sorry I do not speak German! I collect and am interested in finding and purchasing DDR Volksmarine or Bundesmarine porzellan cups, plates, bowls used in the officers or enlisted mess or kantinen aboard ship. They must have the proper insignia for the Naval service - no commemoratives only authentic regularions porzellan dinnerware. I am in the US, am a very experienced Ebayer with over 5700 +  Feedback at 100% and regularly purchase internationally. Thank you very much DCI2004 Kim

I once looked after ddr dishes that I know from GDR times,
we had pretty much the same dish in Schools, Katinen, Mitropa, Hospitals etc.

Hi dci2004,

the Army dishes was in the GDR Army for all armed forces the same. No special insignias or so on....

Brown plastic cups and white plastic plates  for the soldiers, porcellain for the officers.

The normal one....with green stripes and roundings, Made in Kahla (most of).

Also applies for the Volksmarine, I know this from the souece...was there in Service in the 80's for three years....

No idea what is true for the Bundesmarine, would need to know the younger people ;o).

@Rotzkroete - nette links, doch er will Volksmarine und Kriegsmarine (Bundesmarine heisst das wohl?) Geschirr Zeugs.

Das sind die mit den Schiffchen und Wasser drumrum....

Kollege scheint sich aber gar nicht auszukennen, sonst wüsste er es - wahrscheinlich hat man ihm Phantasieteller mit Volksmarine Emblem angedreht und nun glaubt er das ist ein Sammelgebiet.

Da gab es bloss Jahrgangs- und Jubiläumstellerchen zum Zerteppern.

Na ich hatte doch nur ein paar Beispiele bringen wollen,

was ich von damals noch so in Erinnerung habe.

Gab ja so ziemlich nur Einheitsgeschirr, bis auf dass je nachdem Stempel drauf waren.

So it seems that the DDR Army  and Navy all used the same dinnerware without any special insignia on them at all. How sad!

I collect navy dinnerware from many past and present nations of the world from about the 1830s to the 1970s: Kaiserliche Marine, KuK Marine, Reichsmarine, Kriegsmarine, Imperial Russia, Communist Russian, Soviet Union, France, Netherlands, England, Canada, Greece, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Brazil, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, US, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Thailand, etc etc etc
