Bidding

When i make bids for an item and happens to be the higher bidder, do i pay my last bid price for the or the sum of all my bids?

When at the end of an auction ebay tells you, that you are the winner of that auction, the amount you pay is the price that the article has reached now.

In example: You bid at any time in the auction 1,-€, 5,-€, 10,-€ and then 20,-€ to be the highest bidder. Others bid 6,-€ and then 18,-€. This means that your highest bid of 20,-€ for this article was the highest bid still. The price for the article moves to 19,-€ as someone else wanted to give 18,-€ but you wanted to give more. If the auction ends now, your bid was the highest and you have to pay 19,-€ plus shipping (and maybe tax depending on where you buy and where you live).

If - while the auction is still going on - someone bids 21,-€, ebay tells you that you aren't the highest bidder anymore. If you don't give a higher bid now, than you don't have to pay anything, as you will not win the auction.

And now my question may be granted to be asked: You are aware that ebay is for people older than 18 only?
