      Withholding payments for no reason - customer service says I should ignore eBay emails and laughs at me!

      Addendum: Of course I entered the DHL tracking data in the purchase processing. So you can see directly in the purchase processing that the items have been delivered. For low-priced items such as model cars or figures in the range of up to about EUR 20, I ship by letter for cost reasons. Of course, there is no tracking for that. But these shipments only make up a fraction of the more than EUR 14,000 that are being withheld. Good day, I have been selling commercially on ebay for 6 years, have subscribed to a shop and now have over 5300 positive reviews with feedback of 99.9%. On the evening of 16/06, I received an ebay email saying that my payments would be withheld (changed to within 2 days after delivery to the customer), because there were suspicious movements on my account. Of course I asked customer service to call me: The representative told me that my account had to be reviewed and that would take one day. He didn’t say why it had to be reviewed. He forwarded my case to the specialist department. He couldn’t or wouldn’t tell me what suspicious movements there had been on my account. On 18/06, nothing had changed in my status, so I asked ebay customer service again for a callback. This time the employee told me that my account had not yet been reviewed and I should not take the ebay email seriously. After all, everyone is getting this email at the moment. Excuse me??? Ebay has now withheld more than EUR 14,000 and refuses to pay it out or tell me the reason for it. And then I’m supposed not to take the email from 16/06 seriously? Meanwhile, according to the DHL tracking status, deliveries were made on 17/06, yet these transactions do not appear on the payout list for 19/06; instead, some show “release around 20/06” or even “release around 21/06.” Let’s remember: “payment release within two days of delivery” — by my reckoning, that’s 3 and 4 days. And I still don’t have the money; it says “around.” Whether ebay will actually pay out has not yet been answered by my crystal ball. Last but not least, the customer service employee laughed at me on the phone and assured me, “I’m not working with your money, you can believe me.” She couldn’t stop giggling. Question: What is this supposed to mean and why do you not get any real information? Best regards mobatreff

      Verify bank details

      Hello everyone, I have to provide my bank details as a private seller on ebay. Ebay wants me to enter my online banking PIN - for verification. However, our savings bank employee strongly advised us against this. Apparently there are other options as well (uploading a bank statement). I just don't know where and how I can upload it.       Hello, Here’s my problem: I sold a Blu-ray on June 26 and shipped it on June 27. The tracking has shown “Shipped and stays that way” since June 27. I contacted the buyer (with over 2000 reviews), but haven’t received a reply. I think if he hadn’t received the item, he would have gotten in touch by now. If unusual selling activity is detected on an account, payouts may temporarily only be released 2 days after confirmed delivery........... This response is one of the required responses specified by Ebay. How naive does Ebay think its sellers are? To protect the marketplace? ....More likely to protect the Ebay account? Even AI couldn't be that blind as to punish innocent sellers who have sold on Ebay successfully for decades without any problems and generated several thousand euros in sales every day, so unjustifiably and excessively; yes, punish — there is no other way to describe this breach of contract by Ebay. Ebay has written in its own sacred house rules that if measures are taken, they must be communicated and justified exactly via info email! Ebay did not do that, not a single line, only that the payouts were now set to 2 days after delivery, end of story. Our legal team is now reviewing these circumstances, the unjustified breach of contract, the withholding of our property, the information announced in the house rules that never took place, and whether these measures comply with legal requirements. I simply find it a shame that after more than 30 years with Ebay, such a breach of trust on Ebay's part is even possible. I think that a great deal at Ebay is not right and is being taken out on the backs of the remaining paying commercial sellers. Ebay simply forgets that every such measure is to its own great disadvantage, but that is probably intended, for whatever reason? Best regards from a very angry former seller

      Shipment tracking is not being updated

      Hello! I recently sold two items. With one of them everything went normally and the money is ready for payout.   However, with another one, the shipment tracking is not being updated. It still shows the package as shipped, even though it has already arrived at the buyer's and he has even already left a rating for me. It was sent as usual with DHL. I also entered the correct tracking number. When you track it, the package is also shown as "Delivered".   Item number is: 26-14323-87465   I hope  @verena@ebay  can help me there.   Thank you very much.

Here’s an explanation: from onlinemarktplatz.de The introduction and expansion of holds are based on the need to minimize risks in online commerce. A key aspect here is the seller’s service status. eBay continuously analyzes various metrics, including delivery punctuality, the number of buyer protection requests, and the feedback profile. For example, if a seller has a rising rate of late deliveries or negative feedback increases, this can trigger an eBay payment hold. However, this measure is not designed as a permanent punishment. Rather, it allows sellers to continue their business activities without the account having to be fully blocked or restricted immediately. In such cases, the platform operator asks the affected merchants to improve their service performance. As soon as the relevant figures stabilize and improve over a defined period, the automatic instant payouts are reactivated. It is therefore a dynamic process that is based on the current quality of the seller’s performance.

      Technical dead end with payment due to Ebay fee for account "yt-notebooks"

      Hello again, I would please need your help to get out of a technical dead end: I received the payment link for my account yt-notebooks , but I can’t use it because it requires a login. Logging in is impossible because of my outdated mobile number. The problem: The phone support told me that I can only change the mobile number once the account is no longer blocked. At the same time, I can only lift the block by making the payment, for which I would need to log in, however. So I can’t change the number because I’m blocked, and I can’t pay because I can’t change the number. At checkout it says the following: Import charges: US $0.00 No additional import charges upon delivery Pay import charges in advance eBay charges this fee to facilitate the import of your item and ensure that no additional fees for customs, taxes, or third parties are due upon delivery. Import charges may not be refundable. Can someone confirm that I really have to pay 0€ in customs and import charges and that I won't have any later fees when the package arrives? Regards Jeremy
