Hi, I bought a lens from ebay.de last week than member closed the account and I did not get the item

Hi,

I bought an item from ebay.de than I asked the account number for payment than I paid the total cost 112 EU. After a week I have ask the seller for payment if getit or not and tracking number of shipment. Next day I get a message from ebay.de seller acount closed by MC999. Now I have opened case but I can not get any response from seller neither shipment. My question, how come ebay allow any member do not have good reputation without paypal.

I always prefer paypal but this time paypal did not work because credit card expire date changed this month and I forget to change by new one so I supposed paypal reject me because of that so this option blocked for me.Any suggestion about my case please

It would be nice to have an item number. So we can see the item ourselves.

If I understand right, the seller offered paypal payment, but you weren't able to use it, right?

If so it was your responsibility to solve the issue with your paypal payment. If you paid by wire transfer instead, your payment is not insured. To get your money back you would have to sue the seller.

eBay cann't restrict all the sellers so that payment by wire transfer isn't allowed. It was your choice either to pay by paypal (which for some reason didn't work out - but a call to the customer support might have worked) or to pay by wire transfer.

If I'm wrong, please provide some more information such as an item number, so we can try again. 🙂
