Seller won't refund money after proper return

Excuse me for my English, I am an international buyer buying from a German store on eBay.

I bought a guitar for 800 euro's from a German guitar store on eBay. I payed the seller by bank transfer (Banküberweisung), because he suggested it want wanted me to. In the end I decided to return the guitar. Now I saw that the seller already received the guitar back and even put it up for sale again, but he refuses to refund my money until I 'cancel my order'.

I've told him like three or four times now that canceling isn't possible for me, because the item has already shipped and I can't start a 'return item' request through eBay because I didn't pay by Paypal. But he keeps on insisting it's on me to cancel, before he can refund. This is the fifth time I have received this reply:

"Hello,
weve been waiting for cancelling the purchase. when you canceling the purchcase we immidiatly transfer the money back. with two mouseklicks its done."

So who's in the right here? I truly don't know anymore but 800 euro's is a lot of money that I'd like back.

You went the wrong way, you had first to cancel your order, after that ship the guitar and wait for your money to come back from the seller.

If you don't cancel the order the seller has to pay the full fee to ebay - 10% from the price you paid.

Just try to cancel the order and after that you can give ebay the tracking number from your postal service.

Maybe you can find an arrangement with the seller, if you pay the fees from eBay and accept a reduced money back ?

it's the sellers responsibility to cancel the order to get refund of the fees.
