Tracking number not recognised

Hello, I had to return an item that wasn't in the described state. I had to enter the tracking number for the item I sent back to recieve a refund. I sent the item back by post, but the tracking number didn't work! Now the return request was cancelled because I ''didn't'' input the tracking number, but the item is on it's way back to the seller. So what can I do to get my money back? And why did this happen? I am sending from Slovenia to Italy by the Post of Slovenia.

Ich verstehe nicht.. hast du nun versichert zurück geschickt oder eben nicht?

Es muss sendungsverfolgt sein, so dass auch eine Zustellung nachgewiesen werden kann. Wenn du unversichert versendest, wirst du keine Erstattung erhalten.
