Unfair competition .  Dubious liability .  This practice of selling other peoples merchandise to third parties on e platforms  ( Amazon- ebay. Walmart  and others ) must have stricter controls or at least a DISCLOSURE from the seller that the items being offered are not of his property nor in his possession and the extent of his liability in the transaction .

They make a profit from the markup -thus they should assume some of the risk involved , perhaps also taxes where pertinent  .

Too many cases of damaged goods , false and incomplete item descriptions . Books is a major area along with sporting goods and cosmetics .
