After 3 months, 100 calls and 300 emails, it seems I was finnaly able to solve the issue regarding the information regarding the relevant personal, I am now faced with another issue (detailed bellow) which I have no idea what it is about as it is very vaguely described with no actual information on what is the problem or how I can solve it. Is it possible for someone to help me? Thank you.

If you are reffering to official documents, issued by the Romanian tax office, we cannot change the address in those documents.

Hi @fomcoshop - Your address must be consistently registered everywhere - both with the trade office and the local tax office. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you what to do, only advise that you need to resolve this with the appropriate authorities and ensure that it is entered exactly the same everywhere.

I don't know exactly what you mean that the street line at the local tax office contains the full address.

I have modified in the ebay account the data as seen in the picture attached, which I was told to do by someone from customer support. Can you be more specific in what is wrong this time?

Hi @fomcoshop! It's frustrating to see that you are still struggling to get this resolved. Unfortunately, the street line at the local tax office still seems to contain the full address instead of just the street name. Once this is resolved, you should be good to go despite the language specific abbreviations.

You can check your data via VIES.

Hello Miriam, thank you for your answer.

Please understand, as I have said before to everyone that has told me the problem is with the address, it's impossible for the addresses to be the same as the company document is in romanian and the informations on VIES are in english and thus, of course there are differences in the spelling because of some abreviations and language translation.

But everything is exactly identical and all of the data provided is valid as you can obviously tell just by browinsg our company name on the internet.

1. This is the address in my company documents: Sat Cristeşti, Comuna Cristeşti, Str. PRINCIPALĂ, Nr. 801E, Județ Mureş, Cod poștal 547185
2. This is the address on the VIES website: SAT. CRISTEŞTI - COM. CRISTEŞTI 547185 STR. PRINCIPALĂ Nr. 801E
3. This is the address in the ebay account:

Please understand that the first information in the company documents and the one in the VIES website only has the following differences:

1. “Cristeşti, Comuna” versus “CRISTEŞTI - COM.” / the word COM. or comuna simply means county
2. “Str. PRINCIPALĂ, Nr. 801E” versus “547185 STR. PRINCIPALĂ Nr. 801E” the only difference here is the zip code appears in front of the address on the VIES website
3. In the company documents there is a refence to the county “Județ Mureş” which is missing in the VIES website / the word “judet” means county in Romanian

Hi @fomcoshop - I'm providing you with our final update and keep my fingers crossed that you will be able to resolve this situation outside eBay now as we unfortunately can't do anything else to support you on this.

You will need to adjust your data or ensure that it is consistently recorded everywhere. You have already received this information multiple times, from different eBay teams.

Please have your tax advisor verify the address details with your local tax office. It is only about the name of the street. This street name must be consistent everywhere, otherwise you will continue to go around in circles.

Yesterday, my colleague informed you that it's important for the spelling of your street name to match exactly with the records held by both the authority issuing your business license and the tax authority. If there are discrepancies, you may need to update your records accordingly.

After conducting a manual comparison, we determined that the only way to achieve a complete match is to use the street name as follows: SAT. CRI... - please include everything in the street field. Unfortunately, there is no alternative. It is your responsibility to ensure that your data is consistent across all platforms.

Hi @fomcoshop! Glad to see that you managed to pass the verification process!

Regarding your VAT-ID and the error message you received - we can see that you have provided a valid VAT number, but the street name / house number does not match the data provided by the authorities. We usually advise to check the tax assessment notice and update the address in your eBay account. As this may initiate the verification process again, I am checking with our internal teams to see if we can help you in the backend to get this resolved quickly as there is only a slight discrepancy in the address.
